Early Days Postnatal Support
Our postnatal support package provides early days support. The suggested pattern of visits would be 2 hours per week for the first 2 weeks then one hour per week for the next two weeks, however these can be flexible to your needs and situation, such as partner returning to work.

Caring for your baby: Bathing, skin care etc.

Emotional support regarding your birth experience and adjusting to parenthood.

Introduction to infant brain development and normal new born behaviour.

Open Ears Emotional Support
Bringing your baby home isn't always easy. Research shows that 1 in 10 mothers experience postnatal depression. Many parents can find the emotional side of parenting difficult for a variety of reasons.
​
Active listening, or listening visits are a respected source of support for those wth post-natal depression. Open Ears offers a package of visits allowing you dedicated time to talk, be listened to and to focus on yourself and your feelings. I have Institiute of Health Visiting Training in Perinatal Mental Health and experience in supporting mothers with postnatal depression or anxiety.
Package includes:

1x1 hour assessment visit

3x1 hour listening visits
-
1x closing session to review next steps and if further support is required.

We offer an opportunity to discuss specific issues over the telephone, by text or email. Telephone support by appointment, text/email support from 9-9 Monday to Saturday.

A home visit to support you with any issues you may be experiencing. We can discuss areas such as positioning and attachment,, support networks, maintaining supply etc. This time at home allows you to have 1:1 professional support in your own, comfortable environment to ensure feeding is sustainable.
